Husky Puppy Falls in Love a Tiny Kitten

Video by Paw & Disorder on YouTube · Watch on YouTube. Local Husky isn't affiliated with this channel.

The video

A husky puppy meets a tiny kitten, and within two minutes they're friends. The channel's description is short and sweet: "A tiny kitten meets a fluffy husky puppy — and it doesn't take long before they become completely inseparable."

Meet the dog and the channel

There isn't much to say, and that's worth noting. Paw & Disorder is a small channel, with about 8,500 subscribers when we checked in November 2026. It posts "cute and funny animal moments" and "animal stories." Neither the video nor the channel names the animals, the owners or a location, and we couldn't find any source that does. [Flagged for review: before publishing, Ann should watch the video and decide whether it's an original home video or a reupload or compilation. A small channel with a big hit is a common sign of that.]

How it blew up

The video went up on September 30, 2026, and had about 6.9 million views when we checked in November 2026. That's a lot for a channel this size in about a month. A spike like that usually comes from YouTube recommending a short, high-retention clip to people who've already been watching animal videos. We didn't find any press coverage.

Our take: it's adorable, and adorable is allowed. But this kind of video can give the wrong idea about adult huskies and cats, so read the science section before you get a kitten for your husky.

The husky science behind it

Huskies have a reputation for strong prey drive, and that reputation is well earned. Many adult huskies can't be trusted with cats, which is exactly why puppy-and-kitten videos are so popular. Early, gentle exposure while the puppy is young really does help, but it isn't a guarantee. Some huskies who live peacefully with their own cat will still chase the neighbor's.

A practical tip

If you're raising a husky puppy with a cat, give the cat high places and escape routes the puppy can't reach. Reward calm behavior around the cat, and interrupt chasing every time, even when it looks like play. Don't leave them alone together until the dog is an adult and has a long, boring record of ignoring the cat.
