Husky Puppy Meets Big Sisters Memphis and Shelby
The video
It's homecoming day. A new Siberian Husky puppy named Kira arrives, and the video follows her first meeting with the two adult huskies already in the house, Memphis and Shelby. That's the whole video. The big sisters' reactions are the point.
Meet the dog and the channel
Gone to the Snow Dogs is a family husky channel run out of Alpena, Michigan, according to the P.O. box on its own site. The site describes the channel as a digital media company that has been making husky videos since 2009, with camping, hiking and a "Fan Friday" Q&A show. Its family page introduces the earlier pack: Shelby ("the big clown in the family... vocal, hyper, and LOVES attention"), Memphis (from "Champion Bloodline Show Dogs"), Oakley (who joined in February 2012), and Shiloh, their first husky, who died in 2013. The channel had about 1.51 million subscribers when we checked in November 2026.
How it blew up
The video went up on May 20, 2019, and had about 8.8 million views when we checked in November 2026, which makes it one of the channel's biggest. Puppy-meets-adult-dog videos are reliably popular, and long-running channels like this have a built-in audience that's been following the family for years and is ready for every new arrival. We didn't find any outside press coverage.
Our take: watch the adults, not the puppy. Their mix of curiosity, patience and quiet boundary-setting is exactly what a good resident dog looks like, and it's a decent preview of the first few weeks of bringing home a second husky.
The husky science behind it
Adult dogs often respond to a puppy with a mix of curiosity and annoyance. That's normal. Puppies get a sort of "puppy license" for a while, and the adults put up with behavior they wouldn't take from another adult dog. As the puppy grows up, the adults start correcting it with growls, air snaps and turning away. Mostly that's good dog parenting, not aggression.
A practical tip
Have the first meeting on neutral ground or in the yard, not over food or toys. Give the adult dogs a puppy-free space, like a baby gate or a crate room, where they can get away. Supervise every interaction for the first few weeks, and keep sessions short. A tired puppy is a rude puppy.
