Lunatic Husky swears at me her whole groom

The video

A husky the groomer calls "Lunatic" spends her whole groom complaining. She howls, yodels and grumbles through the bath, the blow-out and the brush. The groomer narrates it like a hostage situation, and according to GreaterGood, she wears ear protection. It's the funniest grooming video on this list and possibly the loudest.

Meet the dog and the channel

The groomer is Vanessa De Prophetis, the Girl With The Dogs. GreaterGood reports that she owns Perfect Pooches Dog Grooming in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The husky is Luna, short for Lunatic, and the video description links to her Instagram account, @lunathesibehusky. The main Girl With The Dogs channel had about 3.5 million subscribers when we checked in November 2026, and there's a second channel with about 1.75 million more. GreaterGood points out that Vanessa has also groomed a calm husky named Luna, so they aren't all like this. Just most of them.

How it blew up

The video went up on April 9, 2022, and had about 5.6 million views when we checked in November 2026. In June 2024, GreaterGood brought it up again in a piece about another protesting husky, Link, whose groom Vanessa narrated as an "acid bath" followed by a towel dry with "sandpaper." These loud-husky grooms have become one of the channel's signature formats. You get a pretty dog at the end, but people really watch for the commentary.

Our take: we'd watch Vanessa narrate paint drying. Pairing her with a husky who sounds like a car alarm with feelings is a format we hope never ends.

The husky science behind it

Luna isn't hurt. She's being a husky. Huskies are known for complaining out loud about mild inconveniences, and the grooming table is an inconvenience. The sounds are mostly frustration and communication, not pain. A good groomer can tell the difference: a dog in real pain usually goes still, tucks its tail or snaps, while a protester stays loose and keeps up the conversation.

A practical tip

Get your husky used to the groomer's tools at home, starting young. Turn the dryer on at low power across the room and reward calm behavior. Handle the feet and ears every day. Book the first professional groom as a short "fun visit" before the full de-shed. Some huskies will complain no matter what, but they can complain calmly.
